Amazon cloud computing resources are hosted in multiple locations world-wide. These locations are composed of AWS Regions, Availability Zones, and Local Zones. Each AWS Region has a separate geographic area and each AWS Region has multiple, isolated locations known as Availability Zones.

Wavelength Zones allow developers to build applications that deliver ultra-low latencies to 5G devices and end users. Wavelength deploys standard AWS compute and storage services to the edge of telecommunication carriers' 5G networks.

In AWS VPC, the aspects of security, connections, and EC2 instances play crucial roles in creating a robust and efficient network environment.

 Security in VPC is managed through various mechanisms such as Network Access Control Lists (NACLs) and Security Groups. NACLs operate at the subnet level, acting as firewalls to control inbound and outbound traffic. Security Groups, on the other hand, operate at the instance level, controlling traffic for associated instances. Together, these components provide a layered security approach, allowing organizations to define and enforce security policies.

 VPC provides the flexibility to establish different types of connections. Internet Gateways enable connectivity between VPCs and the internet, allowing resources within the VPC to connect to or be accessed from the web. VPC Peering connects two VPCs, facilitating seamless communication between instances in different VPCs. For secure connections, Virtual Private Network (VPN) connections can be established to connect on-premises data centers with the VPC. Additionally, Direct Connect provides dedicated network connections from on-premises environments to AWS.

 EC2 instances are the virtual servers running within the VPC. Choosing the right type of EC2 instances is crucial and depends on business requirements. Different instance types offer varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking capacity to cater to diverse workloads.
